Monash Public Library Service now has sensory maps available for individuals who would like to plan ahead before visiting library branches.

The sensory maps assist individuals with sensory processing differences to better navigate environments that may overwhelm or cause anxiety or stress, by helping them to identify potential triggers and prepare for their visit. The maps include details such as entrances, exits, seating areas, lighting and any potentially noisy areas.

The maps are a part of Monash Public Library Service's commitment to providing a more inclusive experience to all library users.

Sensory maps are available to view or download(PDF, 596KB) and can be found on branch pages. If you have difficulty viewing these files, please contact us for alternative ways to access this information.
