On Friday 12 July, Glen Waverley Library hosted the first Repair Cafe. It was held in partnership with Sustainable Monash and due to the success of the first session, more monthly sessions are being planned.
Community volunteers with the assistance of a qualified trades-person, assessed items and taught attendees how to perform repairs. Eight of the twelve items brought in by community members were repaired and as a result, diverted around 60 kilos from landfill.
