WordFest 2022: Author Talk with Peter Papathanasiou

Peter was born in northern Greece and adopted as a baby to an Australian family. His writing has been published internationally by The New York Times, The Guardian, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, ABC and SBS. He also holds an MA in Creative Writing from City University, London, a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the ANU, and a Bachelor of Laws from the ANU, specialising in criminal law. 

Peter will discuss his debut ‘outback noir ’ crime novel, The Stoning, which was described by The Times in the UK as “the crime debut of the year ” in 2021. He will also discuss his experiences writing from a multicultural background.
