How long can I keep the item(s) for?
- All physical items (except DVDs and magazines) can be loaned for up to 28 days
- DVDs and magazines can be loaned for up to 14 days
- eBooks & eAudiobooks: 21 days (with options for 3 renewals) in BorrowBox. uLibrary and Overdrive eAudiobooks can be loaned for up to 21 days.
- You can renew most items three times, as long as no other library member has reserved them
- Items are automatically renewed 2 days before their due date, however please check your account to confirm renewals
- You can renew items yourself
- If items are overdue, you will not be able to renew items online.
To renew items:
- Login to your library account on the library catalogue page. You need your card and a password.
- Visit your nearest library. Please bring your library card.
- Phone any of our branch libraries. Please have your library card number ready.
- Click on the link in your reminder email
Renew my loans (login required)
You can update your membership details by visiting your nearest branch and speaking with a staff member. If you are updating your address, we will require proof of address.
You can update your phone number, email address and password on our website by logging into your account.
To ensure your contact details are up-to-date, we require you to renew your membership every three years. You will need visit your nearest branch and speak to a staff member to do this.
- You can reset your password by clicking on Forgot Your Password.
- You can also update your password by logging into your account in Personal Details.
- You can visit your nearest branch with your library card and speak with a staff member.
- Any branch of Monash Pubic Library Service
- After hours returns can be made via the chutes at all branches
- Overdue items will never attract charges, however you may be unable to borrow until the items are returned
- Items will only become overdue if they can no longer be renewed
