Aged Care Reform Hub
Published on 09 September 2024
The Australian Government is making changed to aged care. These new reforms will improve aged care in Australia both now and into the future. The Government is working with older people, their families and carers, and the aged care sector to create better aged care services and a better standard of care for older people in Australia.
Commencing on Monday 9 September and running for eight weeks, Monash Libraries will be hosting a special information hub at the Oakleigh Library, accessible during regular library opening hours. The hub contains access to vital information on these new reforms, as well as the opportunity to submit feedback on what you think are the most important factors in quality aged care.
Information that you can collect from the hub includes information on changes to aged care; star ratings for aged care homes; changes to dementia care; older persons aged care advocacy and representative groups; and working in aged care.
You can also find out more information about these changes here.
The information hub will be at Oakleigh Library until Friday 1 November and is part of a partnership between the Australian Government and the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) to share information about aged care changes at 30 libraries across the country.
