Technology Classes

Technology classes and workshops are held regularly throughout the year. You can stay informed about upcoming programs by subscribing to our eNewsletter, following us on Facebook, or by visiting our website or any of our library branches.

One on one classes can also be arranged to enable you to learn about topics such as the internet, email, eBooks. Ask at your local library about arranging a session.

Digital Literacy Sessions at Mount Waverley Library

We are conducting free and fun technology training sessions on Thursdays from 10.15am-12.15pm. You can book in for the complete course OR choose only the sessions that are relevant to you.

19 October: Introduction to iPad/Tablet 

Learn to use an iPad/tablet basics including Internet, email, photos, reading books, watching movies and more. This session is for absolute beginners.

26 OctoberIntroduction to the Internet

Learn internet basics and how to sign up with a service provider at home.

2 November :  Introduction to Email

Learn how to create an email account and use basic features including how to compose, reply and forward emails.

9 November:  Introduction to Facebook

Create a Facebook account and learn how to connect with friends, share photos and ensure personal security.

16 November: Introduction to YouTube

Create an account and learn how to upload photos and use basic features of YouTube.

23 November:  Cyber Seniors/Fake News

Learn how to stay safe from various online scams and threats, as well as protecting your hardware and software.

Tech Savvy Seniors computer classes are held from time to time. Watch this space or call your local branch.

Tech Bar Help

Need help troubleshooting technology? Our friendly staff will be able to assist you! If you have a query about computers, smartphones and tablets, email, social media or our eLibrary resources, come in for a short lesson and we'll set you on the right path.

The help is free and no booking is required. 

Clayton: Wednesdays 2:30-3:30pm (during school terms)

Glen Waverley: Thursdays 2:30-3:30pm (during school terms)

Mount Waverley: Tuesdays 2.30-3.30pm (during school terms)  

Oakleigh: Tuesdays 2:30-3:30pm (during school terms)
