Young Writers' Group

Robotics with Lego Mindstorms! 

Children and their parents can meet Robogals (Monash University chapter) at the library to learn how to build and program robots using Lego Mindstorms. For ages 8 to 15 years. Details for 2017 coming soon.

Engineers Without Borders program: Get thinking workshops for 8-12 years

Workshops for Kids aged 8-12 years. The Monash University ‘Engineers Without Borders’ program returns to Clayton Library on selected Saturday mornings from 10.00am  - 11.30am. The first session is on 11 March 2017. Join us for fun, innovative and practical workshops full of hands on activities. Work as part of a team and be an engineer for the day!  Free.  Bookings can be made only from 3 weeks before each session.

Raspberry Pi for Everyone

Children aged 10+ and their parents can play and learn with Raspberry Pi. A Raspberry Pi is a tiny computer that allows you to learn about programming through fun and easy projects. See our events page for 2017 dates.

Young Writers' Group

Like to write? Are you aged 11 to 18? Join the Young Writers' Group at Mount Waverley library every second Thursday afternoon!

Author Melissa Gijsbers facilitates a casual and hands-on group that will encourage and expand your writing.

Where: Mount Waverley library

Time: Every second Thursday, 4-5pm

When:

February: 16th & 23rd (for the launch week of the Young Writers' Group there will be sessions two weeks in a row)

March: 9th & 23rd

April: 20th (holidays fall during April thus only one date for the regular group)

May: 4th & 18th

June: 1st & 15th

Lego Clubs

School age children can get creative with lego each month at Lego Club. The clubs are being held at all five main branches on a monthly basis from 4pm to 5pm.
